Embraer’s Defense & Security division reported a stable backlog of US$4.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting continued demand for its tactical platforms and integrated support solutions.
During the period, the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) and the Uruguayan Ministry of National Defense (MDN)converted existing options into a firm order for five A-29 Super Tucano aircraft. The conversion follows an initial contract signed in August 2024, which included one firm aircraft and five options. The agreement also encompasses mission equipment, a flight simulator, and integrated logistics support.
Although not yet reflected in the official backlog, several major international selections reaffirm the strong interest in Embraer’s defense products:
- Sweden selected four KC-390 Millennium aircraft.
- Slovakia selected three KC-390 Millennium aircraft.
- Portugal selected twelve A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.
- Panama selected four A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.
These programs remain subject to final contractual formalities before inclusion in the backlog.
Embraer Defense & Security continues to offer advanced multi-mission aircraft, command-and-control capabilities, and integrated logistics solutions tailored to operational requirements worldwide.
